UKTV signs content partnership with MSN Video UKTV, the commercial pay TV joint-venture between NTL/Telewest-owned Flextech TV and BBC Worldwide, has signed a contract with MSN UK to provide it with lifestyle broadcast formats. In the two-year revenue share deal, UKTV will provide the new MSN Video channel with 20 three-minute video clips from some of its top-rating original commissions, including Great Food Live! and Our House. The downloadable clips will focus on recipes from UKTV Food, as well as DIY and style secrets from UKTV Style. All the clips will be branded and have a click-through option to drive traffic from MSN to the relevant UKTV websites.In addition, UKTV has signed a one-year deal to provide MSN UK with feature articles for the recently-launched MSN Lifestyle. The articles, ranging from fashion pieces to support new commissions such as The Clothes Show, celebrity chef profiles, seasonal recipe suggestions to home and décor ideas and gardening tips, will all be branded with the relevant UKTV Style, UKTV Food or UKTV Style Gardens logos. UKTV’s commercial director Laurence Dawkin-Jones said: “This deal underpins our strategy to provide our audiences with multiple entry points to access our brand, from online to TV to mobile.
