Iron Man series blasts off for Asia Indian animation firm DQE Entertainment has signed a TV distribution agreement with Malaysia-based Metropolis Television for animated series Iron Man. The deal will see Iron Man (26x26') broadcast in 13 Asian territories including India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and South Korea. As previously reported, Cartoon Network acquired the pay-TV broadcast rights from DQE for Asia. DQE owns the audio and video rights to the series in the region.The first season of Iron Man debuted in the US on the Nicktoons Network and has begun airing on Canadian network Teletoon. The story, which first appeared in the pages of Marvel Comics, follows the adventures of a teenage prodigy and his alter ego, Iron Man. Tapaas Chakravarti, chairman and CEO of DQE Group, said: "Iron Man has entertained audiences in several regions and kids will surely love this cool crime-fighting superhero.
