Telemundo, Endemol in Spanish format deal US Hispanic producer/distributor Telemundo has entered into a coproduction and representation agreement with Endemol Spain. Aimed at giving localised versions of Telemundo's telenovela formats more prominence in the Spanish market, the deal will see Endemol Spain produce formats for Spanish networks, which will then be distributed internationally by Telemundo. Telemundo's catalogue includes formats for international hit soaps like Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso (Without Breasts there is No Paradise), El Cuerpo del Deseo (Body of Desire) and Victoria. "Having successfully aired our productions in Spain for more than four consecutive years, this deal represents the natural evolution of our business in that market," said Don Browne, president, Telemundo. "The next step after syndicating our original content is to export our formats to be produced locally and we have found an ideal partner in Endemol."
