Adult Swim cooks up more Robot Chicken Turner Broadcasting's US cablenet Adult Swim has ordered a fifth and sixth season of Seth Green's Emmy-nominated animated comedy Robot Chicken. Green (Family Guy) and co-creator Matthew Senreich will produce two 40-episode seasons of the show under their Stoopid Monkey imprint, with Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico's ShadowMachine Films. All four men executive produce. The production team and cast, which includes Green, remains largely the same, with Chris McKay continuing to direct and Tom Root and Douglas Goldstein remaining as head writers. The show, which parodies US pop culture, has remained the top-rated show on Adult Swim since its debut in 2005 and spawned two one-off specials, Robot Chicken Star Wars and Robot Chicken Star Wars II. Green said: "We're very excited. We never expected to do a second season, let alone a fifth and sixth, so we are thrilled by the audience response and how the show continues to grow internationally."
