DMG sells cross-platform game into Spain Telenovela specialist Dori Media Group (DMG) has licensed its first interactive reality gameshow, uMan, to a mobile entertainment company for Spanish adaptation. Buongiorno will develop a Spanish version of the series, which launched in July. The cross-platform game sees eight contestants enter a laboratory for 21 days, during which their every move is controlled by viewers and they have to score 'life points' to win. The viewers' control is constant and they choose how contestants live, what they eat, what they wear and who they sleep with. uMan has become a success in Israel, where more than seven million viewer votes have been cast online in 21 days. Nadav Palti, president and CEO of DMG, said: "We are very proud to collaborate with Buongiorno, which is the world's number one company in mobile entertainment and global market leader, with 90% of the revenue coming from international sources. We believe that an international format such as uMan can be easily adapted in different countries and cultures." 11 Nov 2009 © C21 Media 2009 |
