Telemundo buys into RTI US Hispanic broadcaster Telemundo has acquired a 40% stake in its Colombian partner RTI for an undisclosed amount, and is launching a new production company as part of the deal.  The new company, RTI Productions, will produce television shows - mainly telenovelas - for export to the US and worldwide. RTI has had an exclusive output agreement with Telemundo since 2002, producing some 300 hours of programming a year - a number that is now set to increase to around 500 hours, according to Telemundo.
