BBC2 floats under-sea series NEWS BRIEF: BBC2 has commissioned an eight-part documentary series exploring the deep with a team of expert marine explorers. Ocean (8x60') is an HD coproduction between BBC Vision and Discovery, set for broadcast late in 2008. It will feature reports from the world of underwater archaeology, geology and marine biology, including footage of subjects ranging from rarely seen wildlife to lost cities. "The series will show the ocean as it's never been seen before. We'll use cutting-edge techniques to delve into this unknown world of our wonderful planet," said the BBC's exec producer Anne Laking. 8 Jun 2007 © C21 Media 2007
