Metan strengthens China links Los Angeles-based Metan Development Group has formed a new strategic relationship in China. Metan, which adapts and distributes content for the international market, has allied with Ruyi Media Group’s film operation Beijing Ruyi Xinxin Film Investment Company. The pair will work together to develop new TV and film projects for both the domestic Chinese market and overseas. Metan was established 18 months ago by former News Corp executive Martin Pompadur, E! Entertainment Television co-founder Larry Namer and Amerilink founder Jean Zhang, with a particular eye to China. The company has since forged partnerships with CCTV, the China Association of Film, Radio and Television, Shandong Film and TV Group and Tianjin TV, among others. 21 Jul 2010 © C21 Media 2010
