Family puts Park Road on the market French distributor Family Films has picked up a Danish comedy-drama from Copenhagen-based sales outfit LevelK. Family will distribute seasons one and two of Lćrkevej (Park Road), which airs on Danish network TV2, to the international market. The package includes 10 42-minute episodes plus another 12 currently in production. The Cosmo Films show, produced by Mie Andreasen, follows a group of siblings who move from the city into an apparently idyllic Danish town following a violent incident, only to find their new home is just as demanding. "The series is very Danish but I am sure it will appeal to French audiences too," said Family Films MD Grégory Boujnah. "It has a certain feminine touch which can be shared with men, and it is bursting with humour and originality." TV2 recently commissioned season two after the first aired over the fall to a 47% share of 21-40s. Production begins this week. Jesse Whittock 17 Mar 2010 © C21 Media 2010 |
