TNT's Leverage heads into UK Leverage, the crime series starring Timothy Hutton that airs on cable network TNT in the US, has been picked up in the UK, its distributor Voltage Pictures has announced. Bravo, part of Virgin Media Television (VMTV), has acquired the series, which also stars British actress Gina Bellman (Coupling, Jekyll) and is produced by Dean Devlin (Independence Day, The Patriot) via Electric Entertainment. Created by John Rogers (Transformers) and Chris Downey (King of Queens), Leverage scored a series average of 3.9 million viewers on TNT, according to Voltage, and is about to start filming a third season. The UK deal was negotiated by Ronan Hand, acquisitions manager for Bravo, and Nadine De Barros, VP of sales and acquisitions for Voltage. Amy Barham, VMTV’s head of acquisitions, said: "Bravo 2010 is all about big, broad and entertaining drama pieces that will have you hooked from the outset." 13 Jan 2010 © C21 Media 2010 |
