Virgin1 experiences Trauma UK cable network Virgin1 has beefed up its US drama slate by taking on two series from NBC and SyFy. The deals will see sci-fi drama Warehouse 13 (13x60') and high-octane medical series Trauma (13x60') debuting on the Virgin Media-owned network next year. Warehouse 13 has been doing well on US cablenet SyFy and is the channel's top-rated show in 2009. It follows the plight of two Secret Service agents who are assigned to a top-secret government facility after saving the president's life. Trauma, which premiered on NBC in September, is set in a San Francisco hospital and follows the exploits of its First Responder paramedics. Amy Barham, Virgin Media's head of acquisitions, said: "With Virgin1 the fastest growing channel in Freeview, we want our 2010 schedule to continue to deliver the exciting, quality US drama we know our viewers love. "Trauma's incredibly high production values and high-octane action, coupled with the quirky, fun and imaginative world of Warehouse 13, helps give Virgin1 a really strong line-up for next year."
