Hunan TV behind $88m Chinese JV China's Hunan Broadcasting & Television Group is teaming with entertainment firm Shanda Interactive to create a new production and distribution company. The company launches with an initial joint investment of RMB600 million (US$88m) and makes its entrance into the production world with a remake of Hunan's 1998 series Princess Huanzhu (aka Returning Princess Pearl). Alongside its production and distribution activities, the JV will also undertake other business activities such as agency services.
