Belgian network rides Tandem into 2013 VMMa, an independent broadcaster covering Dutch-speaking Belgium, has inked an exclusive free TV output deal with Munich-based drama shop Tandem Communications.The multi-year deal covers the complete slate of telemovies and series produced and distributed by Tandem, starting with the new crime franchise based on the work of author Patricia Cornwell, which is currently in post-production, and event movie The Lost Future. It also covers all new programming to be made or distributed by Tandem over the next four years. The new Cornwell franchise comprises two movies: The Front and At Risk, starring Andie MacDowell, Daniel Sunjata and Oscar nominee Diahaan Carroll. The deal follows the broadcaster’s commitment to purchase the German firm’s upcoming eight-hour TV series The Pillars of the Earth, based on the bestseller by Ken Follett and starring Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell and Donald Sutherland.29 Oct 2009 © C21 Media 2009 |
