Shine reshuffles, poaches DRG exec

UK superindie Shine Group has reshuffled some of its top-level execs, creating a new group-wide information hub and poaching Digital Rights Group's chief creative officer, Ben Hall.

Hall will serve as MD of Shine's new internal resource, Shine Network - a centralised incubation and information hub for the development and fast-tracking of group formats. Kate Ward, Shine Reveille International's director of international distribution, will serve as VP of Shine Network.

Ward has been to date the UK-based executive for the US-based international sales and distribution arm of the group and played a key role in the brokering of third-party representation deals for UK producers. Ward will report to Hall, while Hall will report to Shine Group chairman and CEO Elisabeth Murdoch.

Elsewhere, Shine Group business development director, Tim Robinson, has been promoted to the new roll of commercial director for Europe. Reporting to Shine Group president Alex Mahon, Robinson's brief will see him working with the recently established Shine offices in France and Germany along with the Metronome group of companies to encourage collaboration and commercial growth.

Shine Group president Alex Mahon said: "These are three significant appointments and mark a particular stage in our development as a group internationally. All are uniquely qualified for their roles, and their contribution will help the group companies perform to their best, both creatively and commercially."

All three appointees will be based at Shine Group's London offices.
