FX keeps biker series on the road Fox-owned basic cablenet FX is continuing its support of original scripted drama with the renewal of biker series Sons of Anarchy. Following strong ratings, the channel has placed an order for an additional 13 episodes from Fox 21 and FX Productions.The series tells the story of an outlaw motorcycle club intent on protecting its sheltered small town against drug dealers, corporate developers and overzealous law officers. It stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal (Married With Children) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and was created by Kurt Sutter, who also executive produces. John Linson and Art Linson are also executive producers. The series is the latest in a growing list of original dramas that have found success on the basic cable channel, following on the heels of The Shield, Rescue Me and Nip/Tuck.
