New ITV2 season squeezes in Lemon New comedy and factual commissions headline the winter slate for youth-skewing UK diginet ITV2. Keith Lemon's Gap Year from Bellyache Productions and Laura, Ben and Him from UK indie Avalon Television (Al Murray's Happy Hour), will screen in comedy slots.The first sees comedian Leigh Francis travelling the world in the guise of his alter-ego, Business Man of the Year 1993 Keith Lemon. He will be joined each week by a different celebrity companion, including Kaiser Chiefs singer Dermot O'Leary. Laura, Ben and Him, meanwhile, is a new sketch show starring comedians Laura Solon, Ben Willbond and Marek Larwood. In factual, Fox UK Television will produce 10-part documentary series Sally Morgan: Star Psychic. The show will follow Morgan, who has read for Uma Thurman, George Michael and the late Princess Diana, as she reads for other high-profile clients including Kimberley Stewart and singer Scott Mills. UK football WAG Coleen McLoughlin will try to break down advertising stereotypes, scouring Britain for "real" or "naturally beautiful" women who will be the faces of eight major brands in Coleen McLoughlin: Real Women (Initial). And in The Passions of Girls Aloud (Monkey Kingdom), three members of the popular British foursome will "leave behind the world of pop music for the challenge of a lifetime, pursuing a passion they have only dreamt of being able to do." Several first-run US acquisitions will also feature on the new season schedule. Bionic Woman, the NBC Universal remake of the 70s classic starring Briton and former EastEnders star Michelle Ryan, headlines the new acquired drama. Also on the slate are The CW series Gossip Girl (Alloy Entertainment) and battle-against-the-dark-forces themed series Supernatural (Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros).
