IPA alumni heads to Bennett Media Bennett Media Worldwide, which launched with a slate of high-definition programming at Natpe, has hired a former International Pacific Associates exec as its director of international sales and acquisitions. In the new post, Jamie Gao will report to Bennett Media president Paul Rich and will be responsible for selling Los Angeles sister prodco Bennett Productions' library of unscripted series and specials internationally. "Jamie Gao is a very valuable addition to our team here at Bennett Media Worldwide, especially when it comes to the burgeoning Asian market," said Rich, who runs Bennett Media with chairman Bob Bennett and producer Casey Bennett. After her two-year stretch at International Pacific, she set up Gao Studios, where she produced and distributed shorts, commercials, infomercials, and feature films. At IPA she closed package deals with Lions Gate, Canal+, Foxtel, BSkyB, Sony, Road Movies and Zone Vision.In other news, the company has also appointed Gary Lux, former VP of music production at 5.1 Entertainment Group, to be its senior VP of music development and audio production at Bennett Productions. 9 Mar 2006 © C21 Media 2006 |
