Breasts, bags and bling at All3Media All3Media has acquired a raft of new factual programming from a variety of international producers, covering the female body, war memories and inheriting the family jewels. From the US, Busting Out (1x57') from Stir It Up Productions, explores the history and politics of breast obsession. In an era of increasing breast enhancement surgery and increasing rates of breast cancer, the show includes stories from breast cancer survivors, breast-feeding advocates, burlesque dancers, doctors – as well as the opinions of some males. From the Netherlands, Eva's Bag (1x24') is a doc that deals with the family memoirs of a Dutchman called Donald Spellman, which were stored in bag in an attic – and which he refused to open for 40 years. Donald was a small child when his mother and father, Eva and Alex, decided to leave an increasingly unstable environment in Amsterdam, against the wishes of their families and as they made for Switzerland, the political situation worsened for the Jews. It is produced by EO/Q Best Production. Elsewhere Irish doc The Family Silver (3x40'), made by Liberty Films for RTE, tells the story of three different people who have sacrificed everything for what they believe is their rightful inheritance. Lucy Dawkins, factual acquisition exec at All3Media International, said: "The selection of programmes featured here offers broadcasters a variety of documentaries with genuine international appeal, and confirms our commitment to work with independent producers with strong programme-making skills from around the world."
