Match TV keeps Fox Studio Portraits till 2008 Lagardere's French cabsat channel Match TV has signed a multi-year agreement with 20th Century Fox for the exclusive first run of the US studio's Hollywood biographical documentaries till 2008. This deal covers some 25 hours of movie star profiles per year, rebranded under the banner Studio Portraits, a series executive produced by Kevin Burns. Match TV will start with a doc Ron Howard in March, another on Clint Eastwood in April, followed by Will Smith. Next year's first-run docs will include Pierce Brosman, Julianne Moore, Johny Depp, Sandra Bullock and Jack Nicholson. Match TV has been much troubled in recent weeks by rumours of merger with TF1’s TVBreizh, as the channel has been a loss-maker to Lagardère. Originally due to add Match to France's upcoming DTT platform, Lagardere has since cancelled the channel’s DTT licence and is currently repositioning Match TV as a celebrity channel, focusing on extending its cable and satellite subscriptions.
