Network Ten ups for Sydney boss

Aussie broadcaster Network Ten has promoted from within for the new role of executive general manager for Sydney.

Louise Barrett was previously Network Ten’s chief sales officer, a post she had held since March 2013. She will report to CEO Paul Anderson in her new position.

The move follows a deal signed earlier this summer for The Multi Channel Network (MCN) agency to represent Network Ten’s TV, catch-up and digital properties to advertisers.

“With the sales representation agreement between Ten and MCN taking effect on September 1, I’m very pleased Louise has agreed to take on a new, important role in managing and continuing to build the relationships between Ten and our advertisers,” said Anderson.

Barrett added: “There is a very exciting opportunity for Ten to capitalise on MCN’s extensive investment in technology and data platforms to drive better results for our advertisers. I look forward to working closely with MCN to achieve just that.”
