Nets solve Miss Fisher’s mysteries

Broadcasters in the UK and Croatia are among those to have picked up Australian crime drama Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.

UKTV-owned Alibi in the UK, Croatia’s HRT and Viasat Estonia have acquired the 13-hour detective drama, which is produced by Every Cloud Productions for ABC down under.

It has previously been acquired by Kanal 5 in Sweden, Canal Plus in Poland, US VoD service Netflix, Brazil’s Globosat, Knowledge in Canada and DR in Denmark.

Steve Hornsey, general manager for crime drama-skewing Alibi, said the channel will continue to showcase “the best selection in the genre from around the world.”

Season two of Miss Fisher has been commissioned by ABC and is due to air next year.
