Netherlands rewrites House Rules

SBS in the Netherlands is set to remake Australian renovation competition format House Rules after acquiring the rights from German distributor Red Arrow International.

Produced by Skyhigh TV, 11 episodes of the Dutch local version will air on Net5 this fall.

House Rules features six couples putting their homes on the line for the chance to have their entire mortgage paid off.

It began on Australia’s Seven Network, with Red Arrow picking up format rights in 2013 following a second-season commission. Its third season has just started airing on Seven.

The format has previously been sold into Russia and Eastern Europe, among other territories.
