Netflix updates Polish service

Netflix has revamped its service in Poland and launched a host of local-language programmes.

The US subscription VoD service has rolled out comedy special Katarzyna Piasecka & Rafał Pacześ: Seriously Funny.

Mariusz Kałamaga, Karol Kopiec, Wiolka Walaszczyk: Hilarious Trio and Karol Modzelewski & Łukasz Lodkowski: No Offense have also been added, along with movies Poklosie and Ile Wazy Kon Tronjanski?.

In addition, more than 80% of its content is now dubbed or subtitled into Polish, including hit original series such as House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things and Narcos.

Netflix’s children’s offering in the country includes series such as Beat Bugs, Puffin Rock and Kong: King of the Apes.

The streamer has also acquired shows including Suits, Gotham, Arrow and Breaking Bad to further bolster its offering in the territory.

Meanwhile, Netflix has signed an agreement with its first local partner, mobile provider T-Mobile. The deal will allow Netflix subscribers to pay for the service through their T-Mobile account.

“Now we know it and we’re delighted to offer a more localised Netflix experience in Poland that will continue to grow with great TV shows and movies from here as well as around the world.”
