Set on the border between Mexico and the US, action drama Catrina: La Santa Muerte has been greenlit by Netflix and will star Mexican actress Blanca Soto.

It was written by Natasha Ybarra-Klor, whose credits include Netflix’s Ingobernable, while Soto will executive produce.

Mi Hermanastro (My Stepbrother) is in development with Hulu and is based on the Latin American online series of the same name about two teenagers who sleep together without knowing they are step-siblings.

The script has been written by Liz Sczudlo, whose credits include Lifetime’s Sea Change, Fox’s The Following, Freeform’s Switched at Birth and The CW’s 90210.

The Black Veil, meanwhile, is in development at US cablenet TNT and is written by Lusia Leschin, whose credits include Amazon’s Just Add Water, Hulu’s East Los High and ABC’s George Lopez.

The series centres on a group of nuns living in New Mexico’s Blue Mountains during the Second World War as they attempt to maintain their sanctuary from the outside world.

Raze was founded in January 2017 by Vergara alongside Emiliano Calemzuk and Luis Balaguer. It launched its own mobile platform, Raze TV, in June last year.
