Netflix enters Hemlock Grove

US video rental service Netflix has boosted its original programming slate after confirming an order for thriller Hemlock Grove, which will be directed by Eli Roth.

The 13-episode series, produced by Gaumont International Television, is based on the novel by Brian McGreevy about the mystery surrounding the murder of a young girl.

It will be available to Netflix members in the UK to watch from early in 2013.

Hemlock Grove will be directed and exec produced by film director Eli Roth (Hostel), his first foray into television drama, and stars Famke Janssen and Bill Skarsgard.
