Nerds & Monsters travel globally

Broadcasters in Spain, France and the Middle East have picked up comedy toon Nerds & Monsters, produced by US/Canadian firm Slap Happy Cartoons.

TVE in Spain and Canal+ Family in France and Africa will air the 40×11′ toon, which is aimed at six– to 11-year-olds and sees a group of nerdy kids living on an island inhabited by dim-witted monsters.

Meanwhile, MBC in the Middle East, E-Junior in United Arab Emirates and Noga in Israel have also picked up the series, which is distributed by 9 Story Entertainment.

The show has previously been sold to ABC in Australia and CiTV in the UK and was greenlit for a second season by YTV in Canada last year.
