NBC sets sights on sniper drama

US network NBC has ordered a pilot about a sniper from the producers of its hit crime drama The Blacklist.

Endgame, from Sony Pictures and Davis Entertainment, tells the story of a former marksman who works as a security expert in the high-stakes world of Las Vegas.

John Rogers (Leverage) is the writer and exec producer with John Davis and John Fox (The Blacklist) exec producing.

The news is timely as Clint Eastwood’s movie American Sniper has picked up a handful of Oscar nominations, including one for Best Picture.

In related news, NBC is renewing Electus’s reality series Food Fighters for a second season, with new episodes airing in summer 2015.
