NEWS BRIEF: US network NBC has renewed Jennifer Lopez cop drama Shades of Blue for a second season.

Executive produced by Lopez and Ryan Seacrest, the show is produced by Universal Television, Nuyorican Productions, EGTV, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Jack Orman Productions. The project received a straight-to-series order two years ago.
