NBC climbs The Wall again

Chris Hardwick fronts The Wall for NBC

US broadcast network NBC has renewed its shiny-floor gameshow The Wall for a 20-episode third season.

The format, which sees pairs of teammates playing trivia question rounds for a cash prize, is a collaboration from US outfits Universal Television Alternative Studio, Glassman Media and SpringHill Entertainment, based on an original developed by Glassman in conjunction with Core Media Group.

It is produced in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, and exec produced by SpringHill’s LeBron James and Maverick Carter, Andrew Glassman and Chris Hardwick, who also hosts. It is distributed internationally by Endemol Shine International.

The format has been sold into 20 territories including Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, France, Germany and Spain.
