Natpe hires for programming role

US-based conference organiser Natpe has promoted its VP of event programming to the newly created position of VP of domestic and international programming.

The role will see Jordan Ryder work across programming activities at Natpe’s conferences in the US and in Europe, which are currently held annually in Miami and Prague.

Ryder, who joined Natpe full time in 2008, will also work on the company’s new initiative, dubbed the Incite Program, which has been set up to attract “next generation” participants to Natpe.

Natpe’s first event next year will be held between January 20-22 in Miami and its president and CEO Rod Perth said last week that registration numbers for the market and conference are on course with 2013.

The theme for the event will be Content Without Borders, while there will also be a day dedicated to reality TV.

Confirmed speakers include Jonathan Murray, chairman of US prodco Bunim/Murray Productions; Adriana Cisneros, CEO and vice chairman of Cisneros; US entertainer Jay Leno; Netflix’s Ted Sarandos; Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) and Breaking Bad scribe Vince Gilligan.
