Natpe adds Bakish, Dubuc

Natpe has added recently appointed Viacom CEO Bob Bakish and A+E Networks president and CEO Nancy Dubuc to its line-up of speakers at its annual Miami conference in January.

The two executives will give separate keynotes during the event, which runs from January 17 to 19 at the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc hotel resorts in Miami Beach.

It will mark Bakish’s first appearance at a major industry event since he was named president and CEO of US entertainment conglomerate Viacom, taking over from Tom Dooley who had been promoted to replace president and CEO Philippe Dauman in August.

Elsewhere, comedian Bob Saget will host the third annual Natpe Reality Breakthrough Awards on January 17, while YouTube star Logan Paul will also speak, having recently been tapped by French prodco Blackpills to create, produce and star in an original shortform scripted series.

Anthony E. Zuiker, the creator and executive producer of the CSI franchise, and Adi Hasak, creator and executive producer of NBC’s Shades of Blue and USA Network’s Eyewitness, will also speak at Natpe.

Earlier this month Natpe chief operating officer and MD JP Bommel told C21 there would be more buyers from Europe and the UK at January’s market compared with the 2016 event.
