Nat Geo goes Wild with Disney

US cablenet Nat Geo Wild has acquired a number of nature-orientated Disney films to air as part of its Destination Wild strand in 2015.

Nat Geo Wild will premiere Chimpanzee, narrated by Tim Allen; Bears, narrated by John C Reilly; and Wings of Life, narrated by Meryl Streep, on network television next year.

The channel has also picked up African Cats, Oceans, Deep Blue and The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, which are narrated by Samuel L Jackson, Pierce Brosnan, Michael Gambon and Mariella Frostrup respectively, from Walt Disney Studios.

The first show, Chimpanzee, will air on January 11, while the additional films will air throughout 2015.
