Nat Geo brings back Primal Survivor

Primal Survivor follows wilderness guide and survival expert Hazen Audel

US cablenet National Geographic has greenlit a third season of globe-trotting series Primal Survivor.

The show, from UK prodco Icon Films, follows wilderness guide and survival expert Hazen Audel as he tackles some of the world’s most rigorous journeys through hostile environments.

The latest 6×60′ run of the show is in production and will air on the Nat Geo channel globally in 45 languages during 2017.

Audel’s challenges in the latest season include battling powerful ocean currents and storms in a tiny boat off Taiwan, dodging deadly snakes and spiders in the Australian outback and navigating precarious cliffs and raging rivers in Mexico’s Copper Canyons.

Harry Marshall and Stephen McQuillan are the executive producers for Icon. Tim Pastore, president of original programming and production, and Hamish Mykura, executive VP and head of international content, fill the role for Nat Geo.
