N24 explores TCB’s Hoaxes

TCB’s factual series Court Justice

German news and documentary channel N24 is among broadcasters to have acquired series from UK distributor TCB Media Rights ahead of Mipcom next month.

N24 has taken History’s Greatest Hoaxes (6×60), the UKTV series from UK indie Like a Shot Entertainment that examines hoaxes such as the infamous ‘Hitler Diaries’ to Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds broadcast.

Meanwhile, Sky TV in New Zealand and Blue Ant Media in Canada have both picked up seasons one and two of Horror Homes (12×60′), which is produced by UK-based Crackit Productions.

TCB Media Rights will be at Mipcom next month with a slate of 20 new titles headlined by Mr vs Mrs: Call the Mediator (3×60′), produced by Wild Pictures for BBC2.

The series, which is being sold as both a format and finished show, follows couples in crisis as they seek help from professional mediators to resolve disputes over money, children and property.

Paul Heaney, CEO of TCB Media Rights, said the company has doubled the size of its catalogue to more than 2,000 hours of factual and factual entertainment programming through acquisitions and commissions since Mipcom 2015.
