NEWS BRIEF: MTV has picked up a second season of online dating series Catfish: The TV Show from LA-based Rogue Pictures and RelativityReal.

The move comes after the first season became the US cablenet’s highest rated series premiere at 23.00 in network history, averaging a 2.3 rating among 12- to 34-year-olds over six episodes. The show will air on MTV internationally from next month.
