Morph makes BBC return

UK children’s channel CBBC is bringing back Aardman’s animated clay model series Morph after a 15-year break from TV.

Morph began life on Take Hart

The New Adventures of Morph is set to start airing on the UK pubcaster’s channel next month and will be produced by Shaun the Sheep producer Aardman, again using stop-frame animation techniques.

Morph first appeared in 1977 on BBC art show Take Hart, fronted by Tony Hart, who died in 2009.

The character returned to CBBC for a one-off special in 2012 and appeared via YouTube last year after £100,000 (US$156,000) was raised to fund a series of one-minute shorts.
