Moore’s Trump doc goes global

A new documentary from Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 director Michael Moore about US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has been sold to broadcasters around the world.

In TrumpLand was unveiled by Moore last week ahead of its theatrical release prior to the November 11 US presidential election with Republican Trump facing Democrat Hilary Clinton.

It will be available on iTunes and has also been picked up by international broadcasters including Channel 4 in the UK, Network Ten in Australia and TVNZ in New Zealand.

TV2 in Denmark, SVT in Sweden, Nelonen in Finland, NRK in Norway and VPRO in the Netherlands are also set to air the film, which was written, produced and directed by Moore and produced by Dog Eat Dog Productions.

Trump’s campaign to be president has recently become mired in allegations of historical sexual misconduct.

The former Apprentice host has attracted controversy throughout the process, proposing a ban on all Muslims entering the US, saying he will build a wall between the country and neighbour Mexico having made provocative comments about the Hispanic population, and encouraging supporters to physically attack protestors at his rallies.
