Moonscoop joins alien toon

The US arm of French animation house Moonscoop has come onboad an animated series about aliens being produced for Network Ten in Australia.

Gunk Aliens has already been picked up by Ten, as previously reported by C21. The show is a coproduction from the UK arm of US prodco Foothill Entertainment and Australian and Canadian animation studios.

The US division of Moonscoop continues to do business despite its Paris-based parent studio entering administration earlier this year.

Meanwhile, broadcasters in Asia have picked up children’s content from the US company.

Telecoms company Viettel in Vietnam has taken the entire catalogue, totally nearly 1,200 half-hour episodes, according to Moonscoop.

Elsewhere in Asia, Disney Korea has acquired season two of Chloe’s Closet, while a 350×30′ package deal was closed with Truevisions in Thailand, including series such as Dive Olly Dive!, Titeuf and Gasp.

In Europe, German broadcaster Yep and French pubcaster France 4 have both acquired Fantastic 4, and Rai Gulp in Italy has pre-bought Burny’s Odyssey.
