UK-based distributor MoMedia has added four properties with established online followings to its slate of digital-first children’s brands.

Indian YouTube brand ChuChu TV, 30-channel network Hooplakidz, language-education platform Badanamu and Brazilian kids’ music project Lottie Dottie Chicken (aka Galinha Pintadinha) have all been acquired.

MoMedia will now seek distribution on both local and worldwide transactional electronic sell-through and SVoD streaming platforms for the properties.

They join the likes of Outfit7’s Talking Tom and Friends and Zinkia’s Pocoyo on MoMedia’s slate. The company claims it represents five of the top 10 YouTube children’s brands, which together represent some 32 million subscribers and have racked up more than 27 billion views.

Lucas Bertrand, CEO of MoMedia, said: “Kids’ content is at the forefront of the seismic shifts that are shaking entertainment and media as we transition into a direct-to-consumer world of distribution and consumption.”

MoMedia has also signed up two longform children’s series: CBB’s Operation Ouch (44×26′), from Genevieve Dexter’s Serious Lunch, and Creative Media Partners’ HD CG animated comedy Sindbad & The 7 Galaxies (26×11′).
