Originally a Vodka Capital project, the 52×11’ 3D animated series follows the adventures of two friends, one sailing in her pink boat and the other flying in his seaplane in a quest for treasure. In France, the series will air on France 5.

Besides Pirata & Capitano, Millimages brought two new shows to MipTV, both animated series adapted from Korean emoticons well known in Asia.

In both cases, Millimages acquired the TV adaptation and international merchandising rights to the characters from their creators and developed the concepts for TV series, CEO Roch Lener told C21.

Already in production is Molang, subtitled The Happiness series, a shortform and digital-friendly 104×3’30” series, produced in France for Canal+’s Canal Family and preschool channel Piwi and set to be delivered in the fall.

Created by Hye Ji Yoon, the Molang character is a small round, white rabbit. Millimages has developed it into a preschool series with soft colours and a distinctive style. The first two episodes were delivered in time for MipTV and about 15 broadcasters have already pre-bought the show.

The thirds show being pitched to broadcasters is Cherry Coco, created by Sumi Park. In Millimages’ series, featuring a bunch of weird and friendly animals, the Cherry Coco character tries to solve everyone’s problems in a creative and proactive way.
