Fargo producer MGM has hired the head of television at TriStar Productions to join the production and development team at its TV division.

Lindsay Sloane, a former co-head of drama development at Fox Broadcasting, joins MGM as executive VP of television production and development.

Sloane will report to Steve Stark, MGM’s president of production and development for the television group, which is led by president Roma Khanna.

Max Kisbye, meanwhile, has been promoted to the role of senior VP of television production and development, having previously been MGM’s VP of TV production.

Kisbye will continue to oversee the second season of Fargo on FX, among other projects in active development, and will report to Stark.

Sloane will be responsible for creating and developing new projects, working alongside Kisbye and the rest of the television team.

She joins MGM Television from the rebooted TriStar Productions, where she held the position of senior VP and head of television.

Prior to TriStar, Sloane worked at Hypnotic where she served as co-executive producer on Covert Affairs for USA Network.

Additional changes within MGM’s TV department include the promotion of Nathan Taylor from creative executive to director of development.

Rob Hochberg, meanwhile, has been upped from executive assistant to creative executive.

Other series produced by MGM Television include History drama Vikings and MTV’s Teen Wolf.
