MGM is bringing the third season of Fargo to Cannes

Metro-Golden-Mayer (MGM) is bringing forthcoming original dramas for US streaming service Hulu, pay TV network Epix and DirecTV’s Audience Network to Mipcom.

Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale (10×60′) is based on Margaret Atwood’s classic novel and stars Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men) as a young woman in a futuristic society where women are forced into surrogate motherhood.

Get Shorty (10×60′), meanwhile, was commissioned by Epix and is a reimagining of Elmore Leonard’s best-selling novel about a mobster turned movie producer starring Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd.

Elsewhere, Condor (10×60′) is being produced with Skydance Television for Audience Network and is inspired by 1975 feature film Three Days of the Condor starring Robert Redford.

MGM is also bringing the third season of FX drama Fargo (20×60′), starring Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon, and the sixth and final season of MTV drama Teen Wolf (100×60′), plus season five of Vikings (69×60′).

In unscripted, MGM has The Celebrity Apprentice (13×60′) hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Steve Harvey’s Funderdome (13×60′), where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas in front of a live studio audience.
