CBS Studios International and Televisa have come together on a Mexican version of daytime talker The Doctors.
The 60x60′ Spanish-language Los Doctores will, like the US original, see a team of six medical professionals taking questions from a local audience.
“Los Doctores is a wonderful contribution to the health and well-being of our Mexican viewers,” said José Baston, president of television and content at Grupo Televisa.
Eight other international versions of the series stem from deals at Radio Canada in French-speaking Canada, MTV Lebanon, Studiovision Productions for Dubai TV in the Middle East, Flare Media for Ned 1 in the Netherlands, SIC TV in Portugal, 1+1 Studios in the Ukraine and Kiet Tuong for HVT7 in Vietnam.
The series has aired in the US since 2008 and is also seen in markets including English Canada, Australia and Finland. It comes from Stage 29 Productions and is handled by by CBS Television Distribution.
The Mexican version started production in August and will debut on September 10.
