Malaysia adapts Mexican Love

A Malaysian pay TV network has ordered a local version of a scripted series first produced by Mexican broadcaster and production giant Azteca.

Siempre Tuya (A Love To Remember) will be remade for Malaysian audiences by pay TV broadcaster Astro, which is coproducing the show with Azteca and South East Asian production outfit Global Station.

The series is currently in production and is expected to start airing on the Malaysian network in the fall. It follows the story of a woman who meets a rich man suffering from memory loss following an accident and explores how greed can destroy a family.

It’s the first show to be put into production since Azteca, Astro and Global Station signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) earlier this year for the production and distribution of telenovelas.
