M4E hears C5’s Wissper call

A German producer-distributor has come on board the upcoming CGI-animated series Wissper, which will air on Channel 5’s preschool block Milkshake in the UK next year.

M4E in Germany will partner with UK-based character design and animation studio Absolutely Cuckoo and Ireland’s Telegael to produce the 52×7′ toon.

Production is set to begin next month, with the first episodes expected for delivery in the fall of next year, following a green light earlier this month.

The series follows a regular and sometimes quirky little girl who can talk to animals, sensing their feelings and hearing their voices.

It comes from British creator and Absolutely Cuckoo MD Dan Good (Waybuloo), who described the series as “dangerously cute.”

“Wissper is a brand with great potential. It brings together an integrated licensing opportunity and the timelessness of a brand with a classic feel,” added Hans Ulrich Stoef, CEO of M4E.
