Little Roy makes it big in Europe

Broadcasters from across Europe have pre-bought the live-action/animation hybrid series Little Roy, jointly commissioned by CBBC and CBeebies in the UK.

NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, YLE in Finland and VRT in Belgium have followed ABC in Australia by acquiring the 52×14′ preschool show.

Created and produced by Irish production, distribution and licensing company Jam Media, it will also air on both of the BBC’s children’s channels, CBBC and CBeebies.

A spin-off to CBBC’s Roy, the show follows Ireland’s “only cartoon boy living in the real world” during his younger years, aged five.
