UK digital prodco Little Dot Studios has poached three execs from All3Media-owned Maverick Television as it aims to increase its presence on linear television.

The company has appointed Maverick’s creative director of digital, Dan Jones, as its director of content.

Jones, who spent 13 years with Maverick, will be tasked with growing Little Dot’s output with broadcasters and online commissioners in the UK and internationally.

Rich Payne is also moving to be head of social, with Alex Hryniewicz joining as head of multiplatform. All three will start in their new roles later this month.

They’re the latest exits from Maverick following the departure of 10-year veteran CEO Jim Sayer in February.

Little Dot was founded by former All3Media duo Andy Taylor and Selma Turajlic in 2013 with backing from the Discovery Communications and Liberty Global-owned production group.

Management of Film4.com, the website of UK pubcaster Channel 4’s film network, and its rapidly growing presence across social channels will also move across from Maverick to Little Dot following the executive shift.

Little Dot recently received two commissions from Channel 4’s shorts department and is also producing a documentary for national newspaper The Guardian.

The company manages content on social platforms for more than 60 indies, including Maverick, and broadcasters such as ITV and Sky. It also produces digital content for clients such as Channel 4 and Scripps and runs its own original YouTube channels including Daily Mix, Tonic, Dead Parrot and Crumbs.
