Lion TV promotes Silverman to VP

All3Media-owned UK prodco Lion Television has promoted Jennifer Silverman to VP of production.

Silverman, previously an executive producer, will continue to oversee production of a range of content in her new, expanded role.

She will handle the creation and production of multiple series, specials and pilots in diverse genres, from history to true crime and natural history.

Silverman joined Lion in 2009 as series producer on History Detectives for PBS in the US and helmed the production for three seasons.

She was also behind specials including History Detectives: Special Investigations and worked on Six Degrees of Murder for Discovery ID, as well as How Dogs Got Their Shape and Puppies vs The World for Nat Geo Wild.

Prior to joining Lion, Silverman was a freelance writer and producer working on series and specials for NBC, The History Channel, TLC, Discovery ID, The Food Network, VH1, MTV, WE tv and ESPN.
