Liberty reaches int’l nets

Broadcasters across Scandinavia and Australasia have picked up a documentary series about a London department store from UK distributor DCD Rights.

NRK Norway, Viasat Sweden, TV2 Denmark, VPRO Netherlands, Foxtel Australia and BBCWW in New Zealand have all acquired the first run of Liberty of London, ahead of its second season launch at Mipcom this month.

Season two has already been presold to NRK and Foxtel.

The 7×60’ doc, produced by DCD Media-owned Rise USA for Channel 4, follows the life of staff at the Liberty department store in London’s West End.
