Viacom gives Lewis Nickelodeon role

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has promoted Layla Lewis to senior VP of global acquisitions and content partnerships for Nickelodeon.

Lewis, previously VP of global content acquisition for VIMN, will report to Elizabeth Murray, executive VP of programming and content strategy for Nickelodeon Group, USA, and Jules Borkent, executive VP of content and network management for Nickelodeon International.

Based in New York, Lewis and her team will manage acquisitions for more than 100 of Nickelodeon’s locally programmed channels, both domestically and internationally.

The exec will “cultivate partnerships with content distributors and creators from around the world,” according to VIMN.

She rejoined VIMN from Turner Broadcasting in Hong Kong in 2013. Prior to joining Turner in 2010, Lewis spent more than 10 years acquiring and overseeing editorial content at Nickelodeon in the UK.
